Klarna for Shopify
The Klarna integration adds invoice and instalment payments to the Shopify checkout through Klarna's payment app, and posts Klarna payouts to a separate clearing account so fees and payouts can be reconciled per period. We set up the app, test checkout on mobile and desktop, and agree accounts and VAT on fees with your accountant before go-live.
- 01 klarna → shopify
paid order · real time - 02 klarna → poweroffice go
settlement → clearing account · periodic
What it is
Klarna is the buy now, pay later payment service. In Shopify it is a payment method, not a separate checkout.
Why it matters
Instalments raise average order value in fashion and interiors. The settlement still has to add up in the accounts.
What flows

How we implement it
- 01MappingWhat should flow between Shopify and Klarna, which system is the source of truth for what, and what happens on errors. One working session.
- 02SetupConnection in your own account, field mapping, and test data through the whole flow.
- 03Test on real dataThe first orders or products are followed manually before we switch everything on.
- 04Go-live and monitoringWe follow the first weeks. Errors are flagged with a reference to the order.
Frequently asked questions
Do we own the Klarna integration ourselves?
+–
Yes. Make.com scenarios live in your account, and code is delivered with source. We run it for you if you want, but you are not locked in to us.
What happens when a run fails?
+–
Every run is in the history with input and output data. Errors are flagged with a reference, and we clean up together. There is no automatic rollback, and we say so plainly.
Can we start with payments and expand later?
+–
Yes. Most start with one flow, such as orders, and add inventory or customers afterwards.
How long does setup take?
+–
Make.com flows are delivered in days once mapping is done. Custom code takes longer, and we give a timeline after the first call.
- Vipps Quick Checkout for ShopifyVipps Quick Checkout lets the customer pay with one tap from the product page, without filling in an address. We set up the Vipps Shopify app, place the button correctly in theme and checkout, test on mobile, and post the Vipps settlement against its own payment method in accounting so bank and books match.
- Dintero for ShopifyThe Dintero integration gives Vipps, cards and invoice in the Shopify checkout through one agreement and one payout, instead of three providers and three settlements. We set up Dintero's Shopify app, test each payment method on mobile and at checkout, and connect the settlement to the right payment method in the accounts so bank and books reconcile automatically.

- PaymentsPayment integrations cover checkout and settlement. Vipps Hurtigkasse, Klarna, Dintero and Shopify Payments are set up and tested on mobile and at checkout, and payouts are posted against the right payment method in the accounts so bank and bookkeeping reconcile without manual matching.
- Shopify connected to the systems you already useA Shopify integration connects the store to the systems that run the rest of the company: accounting, order management, warehouse, shipping, payments and marketing. We build them in Make.com when the flow should be visible and easy to change, and in code when volume or logic requires it. Documented data flow, and the scenario lives in your own account.
