Front Systems integration for Shopify
The Front Systems integration connects the store POS in Front to the online store in Shopify Plus, so items, stock and customers are the same in store and online, and web orders can be collected or returned in store. We build the flow against Front's API in Make.com and test it in one store before the rest.
- 01 front systems → shopify
items + stock · continuous - 02 shopify → front systems
orders + customers · real time
What it is
Front Systems is a Norwegian POS system for retail chains and fashion. The API gives access to items, stock, customers and sales, and the integration uses it in both directions.
Why it matters
Chains with both physical stores and online do not want two inventories and two customer bases. Then the POS and the online store have to talk to each other.
What flows
| Data | Direction | When | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| items + stock | front systems → shopify | continuous | |
| orders + customers | shopify → front systems | real time |
How we implement it
- 01MappingWhat should flow between Shopify and Front Systems, which system is the source of truth for what, and what happens on errors. One working session.
- 02SetupConnection in your own account, field mapping, and test data through the whole flow.
- 03Test on real dataThe first orders or products are followed manually before we switch everything on.
- 04Go-live and monitoringWe follow the first weeks. Errors are flagged with a reference to the order.
Frequently asked questions
Do we own the Front Systems integration ourselves?
+–
Yes. Make.com scenarios live in your account, and code is delivered with source. We run it for you if you want, but you are not locked in to us.
What happens when a run fails?
+–
Every run sits in the history with input and output. Errors are flagged with a reference, and we clean up together. There is no automatic rollback, and we say that plainly.
Can we start with POS and extend later?
+–
Yes. Most start with one flow, such as orders, and add stock or customers afterwards.
How long does setup take?
+–
Make.com flows are delivered in days once the mapping is done. Custom code takes longer, and we give a timeline after the first call.
- Shopify POS, from PCKasse to one point of saleShopify POS gives the physical store the same inventory, customers and gift cards as the online store. We set up the POS, hardware and payment terminal, move customers and gift card balances from PCKasse or Front, and train the store team before launch. Accounting gets one sale per day per store.
- Omnium integration for ShopifyThe Omnium integration makes Omnium the order and inventory system for Shopify: orders go in, stock per location comes back, and products can be published from Omnium. EDI orders from Coop, XXL and Sport Holding land in Omnium and flow to Tripletex with GLN and cash discount. We set up Omnium's Shopify connector and build the EDI flow in Make.com.

- POS and retailPhysical store and online store on the same stock and customer base. We set up Shopify POS, connect Front Systems to Shopify Plus, and move customers from PCKasse with gift cards and customer data intact, so the till and the website sell from one inventory.
- Shopify connected to the systems you already useA Shopify integration connects the store to the systems that run the rest of the company: accounting, order management, warehouse, shipping, payments and marketing. We build them in Make.com when the flow should be visible and easy to change, and in code when volume or logic requires it. Documented data flow, and the scenario lives in your own account.
